Privacy policy

• Only you can see your videos. They are never public.
• Finished videos are available to download for 24 hours. After that, we automatically delete the original video, working files and finished video.
• We use AI services from OpenAI for speech recognition, editing decisions and quality checks. Payments run through Stripe.
• We don’t use your videos to train our own AI models.
• No advertising or tracking cookies, and no web analytics on motion.klarframe.com.

• To provide Klarframe Motion: your account, sign-in, editing your videos, changes via chat and editor, downloads.
• To bill credits and issue invoices.
• For security and technical stability, for example to prevent misuse and to fix errors.
• To reply to your messages.
• To meet legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored only as an encrypted hash), chosen language, credit balance and transaction history.
• Videos and content: the videos you upload, including the image and voice of the people shown, transcripts created from them (spoken text with timings), image analyses (e.g. where a face is in the frame), your requests in the chat, and any music, logos and images you upload.
• Payment data: Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details. We only receive the payment confirmation, the pack purchased, the amount and the invoice.
• Technical data: When you visit the site, our server processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, time, browser, page requested) in server logs.

We process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract: account, video editing, credits), Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligations, e.g. keeping invoices) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, working systems, e.g. server logs and misuse prevention). Where we ask for consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR applies; you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

We work with carefully selected service providers. We never sell data for advertising.

• Hosting: Klarframe Motion runs on our own server at Hetzner in the EU. Your account, videos and all working files are stored there.
• OpenAI (processor): For speech recognition (Whisper) we send the audio track of your video. For editing decisions, graphics and quality checks we send the transcript, your requests and individual still frames to OpenAI’s language and vision models.
• Stripe: Stripe processes payments and is an independent controller for payment data. Stripe’s own privacy policy also applies.

OpenAI and Stripe may process data in the USA. Such transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

• Videos, transcripts, image analyses and working files: no longer than 24 hours after your video is finished. After that, we automatically delete the original video, working files and finished video. The project (title, thumbnail, chosen style) stays in your list as “expired” until you delete it.
• Uploads that were never started: deleted after 24 hours.
• Projects: you can delete them yourself at any time.
• Account data: until your account is deleted. You can ask for deletion at any time by emailing info@klarframe.com.
• Invoice and transaction data: for as long as statutory retention periods require.
• Server logs: only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

We only use two technically necessary cookies:

• km_session – keeps you signed in.
• km_lang – remembers your language.

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no web analytics on motion.klarframe.com.

Please only upload videos where everyone who can be seen or heard agrees to the editing. Klarframe uses your videos solely to edit them for you – never to train its own AI models.

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and – where the conditions are met – object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Just write to info@klarframe.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

We protect your data with technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access control for your files and limits on sign-in attempts.

We update this privacy policy when features, services used or legal requirements change. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
